Rhum Plantation Peru 2006
This Plantation Peru 2006 rum is a vintage that is part of the brand’s ‘Vintage collection’ range. This limited edition is a traditional rum produced at the ‘Unidas S.A. De Peru’ distillery. A 3-day fermentation precedes a distillation carried out, in 2006, in Pot Still (Alambic) and Column Still (Column). This is followed by aging for 11 years in Bourbon barrels (200 liters) in a tropical climate, then an additional 2 years in Ferrand barrels, in France, in the Cognac region.
Pastry notes and generous vanilla flavors begin the discovery of this first nose. The second nose is oriented more towards exotic dried fruits and woody notes. Hazelnuts and nuts take hold of the palate, quickly joined by a structured woody note. Vanilla flavors reappear in the heart of a fruity composition. The finish is punctuated by fine spicy touches.
