Gin Carmina Christian Drouin
Christian Drouin Carmina’s Gin, a Norman Gin made from neutral alcohol flavored with cider distillate. A distillate produced from over 30 varieties of cider apples. In order to keep a good balance, the varieties are divided between bitter, bittersweet, sweet and tart apples.
After the launch of Le Gin by Christian Douin in 2015, Guillaume Drouin signs a new blend dedicated to red fruits. Carmina remains made according to the same principles as the original version of Le Gin. Each flavoring is thus macerated and redistilled separately in order to optimize the extraction of aromas. Christian Drouin Carmina’s Gin explores summery aromatics. Thus it combines flowers and fruits with the use of raspberry, blackcurrant, elderflower, vanilla, lemon and orange in addition to juniper and varieties of cider apples from Normandy.
We keep the same identity bottle of Christian Drouin’s Gin, but with a carmine red color code. To recall the aromatic dominance with notes of raspberry and blackcurrant.
To taste pure or in Gin and tonic, lemon slice and raspberry as a garnish. The most traditional way to enjoy Gin is certainly Gin & Tonic. There are of course many ways to achieve it but for Christian Drouin’s Gin we recommend:
First of all, the use of a large balloon glass filled with ice. Then add to the Gin and tonic 1 lemon slice and a fresh raspberry.
