Chateau Croix Mouton 2017
Composed of a blend dominated by Merlot (97%) and supplemented by Cabernet Franc (3%), the 2017 Château Croix Mouton has been aged in barrels (50% new and 50% of one wine).
The Château Croix Mouton 2017 presents a dark and deep garnet color. In the glass, it reveals a bouquet of black fruits mixed with toasted notes. After a short aeration, the aromas become clearer, with blackberries, plums and dried herbs. On the palate, it is full-bodied, lively, greedy, and woody. Notes of blackcurrant coated with touches of oak as well as a line of acidity are added. Nice length in the mouth. It is already ready to be tasted, but its structure offers it a cellaring potential of at least 5 years.
