Aloxe Corton “Le Suchot” Simon Bize 2014
Aloxe Corton “Le Suchot”, his domain: Between Pernand-Vergelesses in the north, Savigny-lès-Beaune in the west and Chorey in the south, Aloxe-Corton also shines for these reds. Better known for its Corton-Charlemagne, one should not neglect the grand cru reds like Corton-Bressandes for example. The Le Suchot plot is located on the piedmont of the hill of Corton with 30-year-old Pinots Noirs. The stony and clayey soils give powerful and structured wines. This does not detract from the smoothness of the mouth feel. The powerful tannins will keep this wine for many years to come.
