Château Laroze 2012
Created in 1882, Château Laroze extends over 27 hectares of vines at the foot of the Saint-Emilion hillside and the medieval village. Its vineyard surrounds the castle. Its 2012 vintage is made from an association of 66% Merlot, 28% Cabernet Franc and 6% Cabernet Sauvignon.
It has a very composed bouquet, the new oak here deftly integrated, pure black and red fruit, a subtle undergrowth scent that becomes more accentuated with time. The palate is well balanced, quite classic in style. There is plenty of fruit here, more than it demonstrated out of barrel, but it is controlled, quite spicy, and gently fans out towards the very satisfying finish.
