La Réserve de Léoville Barton 2015
Hugh Barton, grandson of an Irish merchant who came to settle in Bordeaux, first bought the Langoa estate (in 1821) before acquiring part of the Léoville estate. Even today, these two famous Saint-Julien wines belong to the Barton-Sartorius family. The vast majority of cabernet-sauvignon composes this cuvée and is complemented by merlot and cabernet-sauvignon. On tasting, it is expressed through a ruby color, an intense nose made of red and black fruits and liquorice. Its body and fullness give it persistence, good aging potential and the ability to pair with characterful dishes.
