Domaine de Fontbonau 2015
The Domaine de Fontbonau is a 42 hectare property located in a wild and hilly setting where 14 hectares of vines sit alongside small woods of truffle oaks, safre rocks, junipers and lavender fields. It is a privileged site on a locality in the south of the Drôme Provençale which houses a former Benedictine priory and its adjoining farm.
This wine is made up of an overwhelming proportion of the Grenache Noir grape (all Fontbonau cdr) – around 98% of the blend. Extraordinary aromas of cherry and raspberry characterize this wine of finesse and power unparalleled in the appellation.
