This BI LUO CHUN is exclusively harvested during the Pre-Qingming period which marks the beginning of the early teas harvests. It comes from gardens located between the mountains and lakes of Qujiang County, Zhejiang Province. From the Xiao Ye Zhong cultivar, between 13,000 and 15,000 buds are needed to produce 100g of tea. The extreme finesse of the pickings requires skill and know-how. The pretty twisted leaves are fine and very rich in buds. The liquor, clear and downy reveals softness and suppleness at first glance. Then, quickly, herbal flavors of cooked asparagus and spinach develop. Subtle notes of hazelnuts appear at the very end, with a pleasantly fruity taste, accentuating the complex character of this superb green tea, both delicate and refreshing.
